Westfair Properties – Distribution Centers – Alberta & British Columbia

The Freeport Phase I consists of a 23,630m2 food distribution warehouse and administration complex with 63 loading dock bays which operate on a 24 hour per day schedule. Included in the building are 5,000m2 of mezzanine office, 3,371 m2 of freezer area, 11,600 m2 of cooler, 4,100 m2 of refrigerated dock area raised floor computer room, staff locker rooms, washrooms and lunch area.

The Western Grocers facility consists of 22,300 m2 warehouse facility with 53 loading dock bays which operate on a 24 hour per day schedule. Included in the building are 560 m2 of mezzanine office, 11,200 m2 of freezer area, 1,675 m2 of refrigerated dock area, raised floor computer room, staff locker rooms, washrooms and lunch area.

Both buildings are fully sprinklered with wet ESFR heads in heated warehouse areas and dry sprinkler systems in the freezers.  A diesel fire pump supplies the sprinkler systems. In addition, the warehouse has a complete in-rack sprinkler system and the computer room is protected by an FM 200 fire extinguishing system.
