Okotoks Centennial Arena

A new 1,250 seat ice arena to accommodate the Okotoks Oilers Junior A hockey team, with a high efficiency mechanical system including refrigeration plant. Features of the mechanical system include refrigeration plant with High EER Compressors and heat recovery for domestic water preheat and snow melt, high efficiency boiler for building heating and service water, desiccant dehumidification, heat recovery ventilator for the change rooms, and variable air volume air handling unit with demand control ventilation for the main arena.

This project was awarded a Commercial Building Incentive Program grant for the energy efficient design of the ice arena facility.
