Mechwave is located in the vibrant, developing Victoria Park district in the heart of Calgary, Alberta. In keeping with our company philosophy of open communication, our 9,000 square foot office features a modern concept plan that facilitates collaboration and engagement between all members of our diverse team. The office also puts our engineering design philosophy into practice, with energy efficient LED lighting, state of the art raised floor ventilation and acoustical tiles to provide a comfortable, high quality workplace.
As members of the Calgary community, Mechwave team members are active in supporting local charities and events. For the years 2009 – 2012, we have competed in the Calgary Corporate Challenge. We have served meals at the Drop In Centre, volunteered at a Junior High Science Olympics, and supported the Calgary InterFaith Foodbank. In 2009, we sponsored a tarp at the Calgary Stampede Chuckwagon races. More recently Mechwave is part of a 16 member consortium, sponsoring the Building Engineering Industry Design Lab at the University of Calgary. As a group, we enjoy working together, and extend those relationships into friendly competition at the paint ball range and the bowling alley.
Training and Communication
At Mechwave, we believe that consistent and clear communication is crucial, between ourselves and others. To ensure that we are all moving in the same direction to achieve common goals, our Project managers meet every Monday morning to coordinate tasks, and personnel. Our entire team meets weekly to keep up to date on what is happening within our office.
Our commitment to learning and training is exemplified in our consistent support of in house training, both formal and informal, as well as industry sponsored lunch-and-learns. Many of our team members attend the local ASHRAE events, keeping up with the latest industry trends and developments.
Our team members attend the local ASHRAE conferences, as well as Auto CAD University, 7×24 Conferences and other sessions in order to maintain our leadership in the industry.
